Good as new: Since its formation in 1993 Gordon Services has provided a fast, comprehensive and cost-effective electro-mechanical engineering service for the railway industry, specialising in undercarriage maintenance, pantograph, air conditioning and toilet overhaul for all types of rolling stock throughout the UK. Gordon Services has comprehensive maintenance facilities extending across a large area of its premises located in rural Essex. These facilities are divided into a number of specialist workshops focusing on individual component overhaul. Whilst Gordon Services normally operates off-site from its customers, it is recognised that for some specific service requirements, there is a need to work within the customers own premises.

The company prides itself in addressing customer needs and in providing flexible solutions to customers ever increasing demands on good service. Gordon Services is able to adopt a flexible, cost-effective approach so as to be able to meet deadlines; giving the service required by the client but in no way compromising quality. The company operates its own transport fleet, providing varying sizes of vehicle and will pick up and return components for overhaul or repair.

Gordon Services distributes Semvac parts within the UK and is currently running a maintenance project on behalf of the Danish manufacturer of these vacuum toilets for the railway industry. As well as provdingg a full maintenance service for traditional toilet components, the company is equipped to service the Semvac Mini Vac electronic toilet modules, including full software stimulation during the overhaul process. Accreditations are ISO 9001:2008 quality assurance and ISO 14001 environmental policy and are fully approved specialist railway contractor as part of the Link-up scheme. The fully skilled workforce consists of engineers, electricians and coded welders who are certified to BS EN287 level for pressurised vessels.
